The Generalitat will fund the investments of the industrial SMEs with 30 M of

The new line of credit, driven by the Department, is endowed with EUR 20 million for loans to invest in the purchase of equipment and the improvement of production processes. This contribution, in addition, adding 10 million additional euros to guarantee 50% of the loans for these operations.
The loans, which will be managed through the Institut Català de Finances (ICF), will have a 0% interest and may be financed up to 80% of the total cost of the project that may vary from 20,000 to a million euros. The maximum repayment period is 10 years, with a year of absence. SMEs industrial and service related to the sector in Catalonia in order to improve their productivity, their positioning in the market, the quality of the products and the security of the processes are eligible to this line of funding.
The measure comes after it was revealed the data of the survey of Industrial investment for 2009, drawn up by the Observatory of prospective Industrial (IPOs), which provide for 82% of surveyed SMEs are willing to invest.
