The Spanish railway industry directs his exports to Ukraine and Romania

The Spanish companies of the rail sector want to expand his presence in Ukraine and Romania, two key markets for the exports in the emergent east Europe. Both countries offer good opportunities to half and long term for the Spanish industry in front of the plans of transport and investments foreseen in matter of infrastructures.

The Ukrainian authorities have given to know recently a listing of the ten projects prioritarios that will set up the State Agency for the Investment and National Projects (Aeip), between which stand out fundamentally the modernisation of the infrastructures with the construction of the line of high speed between Kiev and the airport Boryspil, the development and the rehabilitation of several rail connections for the Olympic games of winter of 2022 or the impulse to the transport of commodities through the Mediterranean Runner.
Romania is another of the emergent destinations where want to reinforce the exports. The prime minister Romanian, Víctor Ponta, in a recent meeting with the president of the Spanish Government, Mariano Rajoy, resaltaba the importance that his Government will give in the next years to the modernisation of the networks of transport. In this sense, remembered that the big experience of the Spanish companies in rail matter could be very beneficial for the country. Between the most notable initiatives in study stands out the modernisation of the Runner IV rail Curtici-Simeria-Braşov-Bucharest-Stateţto, with a length of 868 kilometres, the rehabilitation of line Brasov-Simeria, component of the Runner IV Paneuropeo, for the circulation of trains to a maximum speed of 160 km/h or the enlargement of networks of urban transport like the one of the Metre of Bucharest.
