The II Summit of Morosidad of the PMcM attains a pact to reduce terms of payment in Spain

The participants in the summit, to which have assisted almost 300 business organisations, autonomous and directors of companies, coincided in that it does necessary take measures that guarantee the fulfillment of the legislation on morosidad. The most striking was the proposal by the president of the PMcM, Antoni Cañete, that pretends to create a penalizing diet to deter those companies that, in spite of the Spanish and European legislations, follow delaying his payments.
“Want to create a similar system to the that exists in the retail trade, in which if it does not pay in legal terms one can be reported and sanctioned”, ensures. In his opinion, “is unacceptable that there are companies that pay to 300 days, as we have ascertained from the PMcM in a recent analysis that realizar of the balances of the no financial sector published by the Cnmv (National Commission of the Stock market)”.
The companies that cotizan in the selective group of the Ibex 35 reduced in 2012 in 13% his half term of payment to providers regarding the previous year, but the half period reached the 178 days, more than the double of the maximum fixed by the law for this year (75 days). From the PMcM, “propose that they normalise the payments between companies with fines ejemplarizantes of until 900.000 euros, through a penalizing diet that apply of progressive way to ensure his total fulfillment of the most effective way”, explains Cañete. In this sense, to proposal of Convergence i Joined (CiU), and with the backrest of the parliamentary groups, in the term of two to three months will realizar a proposal of law to initiate the parliamentary formality of the penalizing diet.
