Hexagon Metrology Expands his installations in Barcelona and promotes the development of new technologies of measurement

The Centre of Precision of Hexagon Metrology S.To. Of the Technological Park of the Vallés (Barcelona) that receives the head office of the company for Spain and Portugal, will inaugurate the next 5 November 2013 the enlargement and remodeling of his installations, with the presence of Norbert Hanke, CEO and president of Hexagon Metrology, of Jordi Edo, general director of Hexagon Metrology in Spain and Portugal, accompanied by local authorities, autonomic and state.

Hexagon Metrology Has carried out an upper investment to the 2 million euros to put in operation the new Barcelona Metrology Automation Center, an only technical centre in the world where has attained simulate an exact section of the module of dimensional control in the production of the car sector, having also of a simulation of the automatons of the line.

This centre has been thought for an use R&D, since hardly it is possible realizar tests in the production in active. The centre is endowed technically for his utilisation in pro of the technological divulging, having all necessary technologies so that they realizar video-conferences, video-demonstrations and on-line learning.

This enlargement and remodeling of installations, has supposed that Hexagon Metrology have duplicated the destined surface to product, since in addition to the destined room to the automation of the technologies of measurement, also has created a new room of demonstrations, a new room of learning and a new laboratory for calibration and technical service of systems of portable measurement (ROMER Absolute Arm, Leica Absolute Trackers and system of white light Hexagon Metrology WLS400).

Hexagon Metrology, with reason of the inauguration, also will realizar a Day of Doors Opened the same day 5 November during all day, to show his new installations and all the last technological novelties in systems of three-dimensional measurement to his customers and friends.

Of parallel form, the creation of the Barcelona Metrology Automation Center supposes also an advance more in the projection to international level of the Spanish subsidiary of Hexagon Metrology, since it is foreseen that from these new installations do demonstrations and presentations to the rest of subsidiaries all over the world.
