Emaf, a biennial exhibition, concluded not to conceal the difficulties facing the sector, showing the innovative capacity of the manufacturers of machines and the development potential of a sector which, despite the problems which passes through the global economy despite everythingIt is already beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel in the main European countries, such as Germany. As it is tradition, the exhibition hosted at the same time, the celebration of Simiex, international exhibition of Industrial maintenance; Portugal Metal, exhibition of products of metallurgy and metal processing; and Interindustria, exhibition of products and services for the industry.
Of course, the Organization has begun preparations for the fourteenth edition of the international exhibition of machinery, tools and accessories that will take place during the last quarter of 2012.
As it is usual in the trade fair events, the organizers of this showed his satisfaction by the course of the fair. António Proença, Emaf 2010 director, pointed out: "Once again the fair is enshrined as a contest with high level of satisfaction and loyalty." "Emaf as one of the most representative at the European level, is recognized within the industry, each issue her reaffirms as appointment required of employers in the sector"
The Spanish presence returned to play a role in the contest. This year, Spain contributed 10% of the total number of exhibitors, as well as 76% of the foreign visitors who attended the event (356 Spaniards). These figures demonstrate the importance of this platform in the consolidation of hispano-lusas trade relations. We must remember that Portugal is priority destination of the exports of the Iberian Peninsula of industrial machinery.
In addition to the Exhibitor offer, Emaf offered a varied programming of parallel activities, such as the technological Forum on innovation and originality or the fifth edition of the innovation contest, including Leonardo Da Vinci and Nicola Tesla national and international innovations awards respectively. The initiative, organised by Exponor and robotics magazine, recognized the technological developments of Adira and Yaskawa Motoman enterprises.
Adira, manufacturer of equipment for working metal plates, won the award thanks to its cutting machine fiber laser, called Adira LF. This tool can be cut - high-speed-stainless steel of 8 mm steel or carbon up of 18 mm, and even aluminium, copper or brass. This innovative tool already has among its clients to NASA, Boeing, Siemens, and the White House.
The other winning firm, Yaskawa Motoman, climbed the podium thanks to Robot welding goes-1400. This robot, is the first of its kind that has seven axes. "the robot, allows access to the piece to be welded, of an easier way." "The seventh of the axes allows to Dodge obstacles in a physically impossible manner, that the robots used today have only six-axis", explains the head of the company.
Poland, guest country
For this year's Edition the Organization of the event opted for the strengthening of trade relations between the exhibiting companies and emerging markets in the industrial sector actors. A clear example of this initiative is that this edition of Emaf had Poland as guest country.
"Poland is one of the countries with the greatest potential of business for the companies of machinery of the peninsula, which act in different industrial segments, because the circumstances point to one of the regions with a significant economic projection" says António Proençadirector of Emaf 2010.
