DMP manufactured as 'a risk partner' gearboxes for engines aircraft after reaching an agreement with the French Price Induction by value of 5 M
The Basque company developments mechanics of Precision (DMP) will become 'partner at risk' for a complete system of aeronautical engines. The operation takes place after reaching an agreement with the new French biker Price Induction, which will manufacture full reducer DGEN steered engines to be fitted to the aircraft business, known as Personal Light Jet (PLJ), devices for 2 to 5 people that meet rising global demand and personal.
DMP signs an agreement with the French company Price Induction, which will manufacture complete engines DGEN reducer. Contract signed in the recent edition of the fair Paris Air Show, Le Bourget 2013, will be an amount around 5 million euros for WMD by the development of a minimum of 150 gearboxes per year for five years, although DMP participation in the range of Price Induction Motors will be extended also to other rotating parts.
For WMD project represents a qualitative leap forward, going from an activity as critical components specialist supplier of complete systems and modules of engine for this segment of the aviation that was not present so far. The agreement turns him into a 'supplier at the risk of the project' and contemplates the manufacture of gearboxes for all engines that offer the company gala, as well as the implementation of testing banks.
DGEN Price Induction range is a family of turbofan of dual-stream called 380 DGEN and DGEN 390 for motorised aircraft corporate and business for 2 to 5 people in configuration Twin-Jet, with a maximum weight of 1,400 to 2,150 kg. These jets are optimized for a mastery of flight of 15,000 to 20,000 feet and speeds of the order of 250 to 280 kilometres (0.35 Mach). Price Induction offer package of two engines, accessories and digital control (Fadec for its acronym in English) engine builders below one million euros, after final certification.
The Personal Light Jet (PLJ) occupy a position below the Very Light Jets (VLJ) in terms of size and capabilities and its use is part of the personal use, corporate aircraft services in training tasks and lines not covered by airlines or air-taxi
The emergence of these engines makes possible the development of a new concept of 'personal aircraft', replacing the traditional Pistons team turbofan, which are faster, in addition to be able to be operated by private pilots, have a range of more action and an affordable cost. Technological advances in aviation have made it possible to introduce the turbofan engine in a light aircraft. The two engines DGEN 380 or 390 DGEN have 90% of the stock parts.
On the other hand, for the development and certification of the engine, Price Induction has developed virtual test banks of simulation which allow to test the DGEN engine and that they are already being employees as a training tool in technical universities and centers of research and aeronautical maintenance. WESTT solutions, by its technical name, have been implemented in large French schools, at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), the EWM Aviation Ground School of São Paulo, Institut Sino-Européen d' Aéronautique from China or the University of Rzeszow, in Poland.
Concentration of motorists in the Basque country
Operation thus reinforces Basque aeronautic tissue integrated in the Cluster Association of Aeronautics and space, and Hegan passes to two partner companies have major firms in the area of engine, a subsector of the aeronautical concentrated almost in its entirety in this Spanish community. Operation enables DMP to address a latent niche of strong growth estimated in the future, since there is currently no specific reaction engines to equip these aircraft and others larger, are used with a high cost and less operational.
Participation in the program DGEN is fruit of its research and work of the investment of 5 million euros for the implementation of a new activity dedicated to the design and manufacture of high precision gears for various industrial sectors taking advantage of its experience as a supplier of Turbomeca in the production of components for helicopter engines. The support of the Ministry of economy and competitiveness Mineco, through the Enngrana project of the Innpacto 2011 national program, has helped the Basque company move forward on the ability of design and integration and materialize this innovative initiative oriented to the market and with a high character of internationalization.
