Hermle Mechanische Uhrwerke & Drehteile GmbH makers were looking for a solution that could help them reduce the inevitable errors that occur when working with a set of components from more than 15,000 articles. This company, located in Reichenbach (Germany), specialises in the manufacture of precision turned parts and mechanical clockwork mechanisms.
Mettler Toledo offered a complete solution to select the components of your store. This is how it works: article numbers and weights are stored in a mobile IND690sys weighing terminal. With the SysDataManager program, they are edited on the computer in an efficient and comfortable, which prevents the loss of data.
Each component with a keyboard or barcode reader, can access allowing to automatically dispose of the correct weight of each individual piece to his account. Mettler Toledo solution eliminates the old system, slow and prone to errors, in which the individual weight of a component was based on a reference quantity.
In addition, a plausibility check is performed to determine if the weight of a given piece corresponds with the value memorized in the system. During this check, if you select a wrong article number or one piece wrong from a shelf, the error is detected and corrected.
To ensure a correct identification of the selected component, a label with the item number, quantity and the individual weight is printed immediately. The IND690sys terminal of free programming and a PBA330-B60 of Mettler Toledo scale offer high precision. The rechargeable battery system provides an independent power supply in the event that there is an interruption of electricity supply.
