These are some conclusions of the Special Report published recently by DBK, first skilled Spanish company in the preparation of studies of sectorial analysis and of the competition participated by Informs D&B, company of the Group CESCE leader in the supply of commercial information, financial and of marketing in Spain and Portugal.

According to DBK, subsidiary of Informs D&B (Group CESCE), the volume of business derived of the provision of services of maintenance of computer teams could have closed 2011 with a fall of around 10%, until situating in 655 million euros. This evolution supposes a prolongation of the downward phase that had initiated in the previous year, after registering a tax of annual half growth of 5% in the period 2005-2009.

The closing of companies and the reduction of the number of workers followed motivating a reduction of the park of teams in maintenance in the private sector. By his part, the requirements of budgetary reduction oriented to the containment of the public deficit also comport a weakening of the pertinent demand of the Administrations, so much in the national field as in the autonomic and the venue.

The maintenance of personal computers generates near of 40% of the market, being the main segment of activity. To continuation appear the one of systems of impression and scanned, with a quota of 23%, and the one of other teams, that gathers the fourth part of the volume of sectorial business.

The downward trend could moderate in 2012, year for which foresees one with-traction of the market of around the 4-5%, whereas along 2013 could initiate a phase of moderate recovery of the sales.

In January of 2011 found registered under the epígrafe CNAE 951, corresponding to repair of computers and teams of communication, 8.349 companies and physical people. The number of societies (excluding physical people) situated in 3.299, 5% less than a year before.

The sector is composed by a big number of small companies and skilled physical people in the provision of services of maintenance. Only 3,5% of the companies (excluding physical people) have 20 or more hard-working.

However, appreciates a remarkable and increasing concentration in the main operators. The five first companies reached in 2010 a conjoint quota of 59% on the volume of total business, figure that surpassed 80% when considering to the ten first.

Beside the numerous skilled operators in the business of maintenance multimarca and the manufacturers that loan this service directly or through subsidiaries, compete in this market a good number of companies of technological character, devoted fundamentally to the consulting, the outsourcing, the development and implantation of systems or the maintenance of software.
