Growing interest in organic products in Europe

The interest of European markets by buying organic products has grown compared to previous years, according to the study of Green Brands 2011, made over 9,000 people in eight countries - including United States, United Kingdom, China, Brazil, India, Germany, France and Australia. Although it is more expensive than conventional products, consumers are willing to pay a higher price for them. Germany, 30% of respondents stated have bought more organic products in the current year previous, compared to 21% of the year 2010.
More than 60% of consumers around the world prefer to buy products from environmentally responsible companies and which respect the environment. While in developed countries as United Kingdom 40% of respondents declared not be willing to buy a more expensive product just because it is green, Brazil and the India 90% States be willing to spend more because of the increased awareness by the complicated environmental situation in their countries.
Consumers have a variety of views on the most committed to the environment industry. 18% Of Americans and 20% of Australians claim that the energy industry does a better job of caring for the environment. On the other hand, Germany (19%), India (22%), China (33%) and Brazil (22 per cent) opt for the technology industry. In United Kingdom, more than 21% of consumers claim that the food industry is that better protects the environment.
The countries surveyed feel that Government should play a greater role in the regulation of ecological measures for companies. The Germans are satisfied with the legislation on environmental decisions in the private sector alone. In this sense, 91% of respondents in United Kingdom think that companies are using too much material in the packaging of their products, and 73 per cent believed that the British Government should impose on them an obligation to recycle these materials.
