Finishing touches to the 14th Congress of Aecoc

On December 9, the new Gerardo restaurant hosted lunch presentation Aecoc annually organized to present the new features of the Congress of Ironmongery and DIY. The members of the press were invited, in addition to a succulent meal, received a preview of what the Organization has planned for the next edition.
The first speech of the evening will go to the Professor of the Institute San Telmo, Fernando peace, who under the title of "prospects for the Spanish economy", will analyse the current economic situation in Spain. Once established this conceptual basis of the general State of Spanish finances, Congress will address the trends and strategic lines of the sector, in the hands of Régis Degelke, President of Edra, the European Association of distributors of Ironmongery and DIY.
After a break, will be the turn of Paul Bonne, sales director of the Division of stickers of the Belgian company Henkel, and Henk Bakker, director of the Hornbach Baumarkt Dutch international purchases. Their interventions will include how to get "sell more and better" in the world of the hardware and DIY.
The first day will end with the intervention of Fuenciscla Clemares, director of Retail, Google, who displays the companies of the sector the potential and opportunities that internet can offer as a prescription and sales channel. As usual, "dinner for Congressmen", will be held after the talks to be held at nine in the evening.
Innovate in times of crisis
It is obvious that innovation is the ship's rescue to which many companies cling to avoid drowning in this time of the collapse of the economy. The day will conclude with the final intervention of Alex Rovira, in which will be the vital importance of the trust and commitment as values for the company, especially in situations economically complicated like that now we are going through.
The latest additions of Aecoc
On 2 December the Committee Aecoc of Ironmongery and DIY declared approved the additions of two new members, Compo and 3 m. The representatives of these companies will be Jorge Lopez, director general of the Division consumer for Iberia of 3 M, and Alberto García-Salgás, director general of Iberia Compo.
3 M is a multinational company which annually invoice 23 billion dollars and with human capital of 75,000 people. The company is engaged in the manufacture of abrasive products, adhesive tapes, sponges and products for the cleaning of the home, among others. COMPO, for its part, is specialized in the manufacture of manures and fertilizers for gardening, as well as insecticides for all kinds of plants.
These two new additions are intended to extend the representation of Aecoc in the subsector of gardening, as well as adhesives and chemical products. This group works to identify opportunities for improvement in the sector and promote collaborative projects with this objective and which currently consists of 26 companies. The official status of these additions will be effective in meeting the Aecoc Committee to be held in Barcelona next month of March.
