Madrid receives the General Assembly of the Association of Fairs of Spain

The Friday 1 March 2013 celebrated in Ifema, Fair of Madrid, the General Assembly of the Association of Spanish Fairs (AFE). Following with the established order, in the first place detailed the gestión that, from the Presidency and General Office of AFE, have come realising during the year 2012:

- Participation of AFE in the Congress Unifib, in the UFI Open Seminar Europe and in the Meeting of the Committee of Associations UFI

- Creation of a new Project Unifib-Segib for the realisation of Forums of Business in the Frame of the Fairs Iberoamericanas. Participation of AFE in Meetings SMEs 22 October and in the VIII business meeting iberoamericano.Summit of Cádiz.

- Creation together with Associations of the sector Micce of the ‘Forum of Associations of the Spanish Industry of Meetings and Evento'. Presentation of this Forum in the headquarters of CEOE and Means of Presses.

- Realisation of the Direct Commercial Mission AFE 2012 to the Fair World Travel Market. London

- Meeting with the general director of Turespaña, Manuel Butler, to treat diverse points of collaboration.

- Meeting of the Managerial Board of AFE with the secretary of State of Trade Jaime García Legaz, so as to arrive to agreements of punctual collaboration

After the approval of the budget and, to finalise, announced the celebration of the IX International Congress of AFE, that will take place the next 20 and 21 June in the International Fair of Samples of Asturias, in Gijón. The Congress constitutes the most notable project that will llevar during the present year, and results of special interest since the subjects of the program have been carefully elected, reflecting the current interests of the sector ferial/ congresual, that this edition besides will have speakers of special importance.
