Success of received of the first workshop of the campaign #bricolajesolidario

More than 150 people moved the past 29 March until the shop of Leroy Merlin of Leganés (Madrid) to participate in the workshop solidario of bricolaje that was organised inside the initiative #bricolajesolidario: it supports a neuron. A campaign promoted by the Foundation Txema Elorza, under the coordination of Briconatur, and that has the collaboration of the fair Eurobrico and the chain of distribution Leroy Merlin.

The aim of this initiative is the set up of didactic workshops of bricolaje that allow to spread between the society in his group the activity of the DIY, but on contributing to the catchment of bottoms for the treatment of Alex.

Alex is a boy of six years that suffers cerebral paralysis after being cream premature, with so only 30 weeks of gestation, and that suffers intellectual disability, visual and auditsory. After three long years of wait, called him of a clinic of neural rehabilitation in Santiago de Compostela to initiate an experimental treatment, consistent in the creation of neurons by means of hormone of growth and melatonina. A treatment that will allow to Alex in a future can handle a computer to communicate and even work; and, in definite, have the opportunity to be an independent person, from his limitations.

The organisers and collaborators of the campaign, beside companies of the sector of the bricolaje and the ironingingmongery, already have undertaken the initiative to purchase neurons by value of a euro to fund the treatment. And the same is promoting from the workshops solidarios, so that the participants can contribute to the mejoría of Alex. The initiative will move the next month of October until the edition 2014 of Eurobrico, that will open his doors in Fair Valencia of the 1 to 3 October.
