World premiere The Secupro 625, presented at the A + A tradefair in Düsseldorf, is a new clamped-handle knife. It is the latest in this type of cutters because it combines several advantages: aluminum handle, lever to release the blade with easy movement, cutting depth of more than 2 cm length in combination with a fully automatic blade retraction. These features convey the feeling of having on hands a last generation tool. ·Secunorm 590 It is a safety knife to open big bags with extra-long handle and automatic return of the blade, which allows working with high level of safety. It is suitable for preci- sion cutting of big bags and to release the contents of the suitable dose. The handle is 100 cm long, which allows cutting at a very safe distance. This tool will always be ready since its components can be changed easily. ·Secunorm 380 It is the first cutter in the world with a blade extension of almost 8 cm. and auto- matic blade retraction. It's a low-risk alternative to the common fixed blade knife, which also incorporates a safety lock which prevents the blade to come out of the handle without user intervention. It is supplied with the number 79 blade, but also admits the stainless steel blade num- ber 179. Novelties within Secumax range Fruit of research and development are the two new cuters Secumax 150 and Secumax 350. Both cutters offer the high- est level of safety due to its hidden blades. The Secumax 150 protects the user and goods. It is an ergonomic tool (weighs only 24 grams), suitable for right and left handed people; very versatile because it can cut and scrape as well as being dis- posable. The Secumax 350 is a multi-talented item as it can cut all common materials, from film to plastic strapping, double layer cardboard boxes, adhesive tapes and oth- ers. It has got a 2 in 1 head with hidden blade and so big edges that it can access easily to material to be cut and also a metal part for tape scratch- ing. Lightweight and ergonomic, it’s suitable for left and right hand- ed. ·Secumax scissors The three new scissors, Secumax 363, Secumax 564 and Secumax 565, have been also added to the Martor range. They are sharp but not danger- ous, since they are not sharpened obliquely, but at 90o. They can cut various materials, but no fingers. It is noteworthy that the Secumax 565 has a built-in wire-cutter. The Secumax 564 is characterized by its opening for the thumb and extra long blade, which also serves as an ideal surface contact. This scissors allows the user to work in a very controlled way and just a few cuts are needed to separate the material being cut, whether it is cardboard, paper, film, fabric and many other materials. The spe- cial sharpening of the blades and the rounded tips guarantee maximum safety. All new scissors are made of stainless steel parts and the handle portions are coated with plastic reinforced with fiberglass.
