Among all these features it stands out the bicolor fireproof sole with polyurethane midsole, which meets the slip standard SRC level and HI3 heat insulation. More- over, its light weight increases the ergonomics and comfort of the boot. Interschutz, leading international fair in firefighting and civil protection, rescue and safety, is held every five years. The policy of Fal Seguridad, that was located at the stand G53, in Hall 4, is to offer quality products under the motto of a guaranteed safety, with excellent design and performance. Commitment to the environment The environmental concern of the com- pany is evidenced in the fact that it is reg- istered in the list of companies that calcu- late its carbon footprint, has got the certification controlled CO2 and has established an environmental manage- ment system. The carbon footprint is the total green- house gases emitted by direct or indirect effect of an individual, organization, event or product, in this case in the man- ufacture of boots. Besides being among the companies which calculate its carbon footprint, Fal Seguridad is on its path to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases and is making efforts to reduce its emissions with projects of carbon dioxide absorp- tion. On the other hand, Fal has also implemented and certified an Environ- mental Management System under the UNE-EN ISO 14001, a system that is inte- grated into the Quality Management according to the guidelines that have promoted the European authorities. The ISO 14001 certificate is an authentic renown worldwide. “The purposes, objectives and motiva- tions that have led Fal Calzados de Seguridad to implement these certifica- tions are the attitude of improvement in sustainability and demonstrating to cus- tomers the environmental commitment and transparency in the manufacturing process. Providing quality products and services, showing that the Environment is respected and that the entire organiza- tion operates on a safe working environ- ment are today the key aspects that make the difference between companies”, quotes a spokesman of the company.
