1oTrimestre13 | PROTECCIÓN LABORAL 74 Updated products Velilla Confección Industrial Expanding the already extensive Hi-Vis collection The High Visibility product range by this company is extensive and now, expanded, with four new shirts, two polos and two trousers, all certified as Cat II EN 340, EN 471. Velilla’s goal is to bring consumers more and more solutions for work places in which signage and visibility are of the essence, to protect their lives. High Visibility clothes help workers remain visible even in dimly lit places, or in roads where the only lights are those of a car in the night. These products are sub- jected to EN 471:2004 + A1:2008 stan- dards and in addition, there’s work car- ried out on a draft standard that, once approved, will be replacing all current mandatory rules for hi-risk situations: prEN ISO 20471:2011. High Visibility clothes are made with, at least, two types of materials: retro-reflec- tive (bright grey bands) and fluorescent (yellow, orange, or red). Retro-reflective materials will define the figure of users during the daytime, even in dimly lit areas, and may be Level 1 or 2 according to their properties. At the same time, and depending on the fluorescent fabric and reflective bands used, products will be classified as Class 1, 2, or 3, though the draft of the new regulations and stan- dards foresees class may be determined for both individual or group products. Labels on high-visibility products show both facts: the class, and the level of retro- reflective materials, on the upper and lower part, respectively. A Hi-Vis line of shirts, in which everyone will find the most suitable choice With all of the above in mind, and as a result of finding out consumers’’ prefer- ences by means of feedback, Velilla has developed and created new solutions that meet market needs: four short-sleeved shirts in Series 141 and 142, and long- sleeve shirts in Series 143 and 144. The four new articles stand out as highly ver- satile, made from 65% polyester/35% cot- ton poplin, with two practical pockets on the chest and Level 2 reflective REFLA- TEX® bands on the chest, back, and sleeves. All are certified as CAT II EN 340 EN 471. Series 142 and 144 shirts are bi- colour, combining retro reflective and flu- orescent materials with a third support material in a different colour. The variety of colours reduces the high-vis fabric part so these two shirts are Class 1 while those in Series 141 and 143 are Class 2, for composition is exclusively fluorescent fabric and REFLATEX® tape. Such a dif- ferent does not affect quality or compli- ance, and only seeks to offer consumers more choices. All colour combinations in Hi-Vis trousers Velilla is also presenting 12 new colour combinations, certified, in Series 157 and 157C trousers, now added to the 2 initially presented at SICUR 2012 (navy blue/fluo- rescent yellow, and navy blue/fluorescent orange). Available with woven fabric lin- ing in Series 156. The new trousers are baggy, with elasticized waistline and 6 tool pockets, four of them with pocket cover and Velcro tape, for safety. Available in an extensive variety of sizes. All series are made from support material, two AV REFLATEX® Level 2 tapes on legs, and a fluorescent band in between, which may be yellow or orange and can in turn com- bine with navy blue, green, gray or orange background. Materials used for these trousers categorize Series 157, 157C, 156 and 156C as Class 1. All models are certi- fied to Cat. II EN 340 EN 471 standards. Hi-Vis, versatile long-sleeve polos in various colours Velilla also adds to new long-sleeve polo series (174 and 175), complying with the same standards. Both are long-sleeve polos, breathable, with REFLATEX® level 2 tapes around the body, on chest and back, and two more on the sleeves. The different lies in the colour combination for Series 175, in addition to hi-vis colours, includes a third background colour: navy blue, gray, or green. 47 PARA MÁS INFORMACIÓN, CONTACTE CON: comercial@prensa-tecnica.com
