NOTICIAS EPI: MATERIALES, MAQUINARIA Y TÉCNICAS PARA SU FABRICACIÓN INTERVENCION DE LA AEI EN LA 51a EDICION DEL DORNBIRN MAN-MADE FIBERS CONGRESS Comunicando el futuro de las fibras químicas fue el lema de la 51a edición del Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Congress (Dornbirn-MFC), el principal congreso mundial en el ámbito de las fibras químicas, que se celebró del 19 al 21 de septiembre en Dornbirn (Austria). La Agrupació d’Empreses Innovadores Tèxtils (AEI), representada por su ‘cluster’ manager, la Dra. Ariadna Detrell, moderó una de las sesiones dedicada a Innovaciones en fibras, además, presentó la ponencia Solutions of Balance Between Protection and Comfort in Fire-fighters Clothing, en la que se expusieron los resultados finales obtenidos en el proyecto de I+D Sos Tèxtil, llevado a cabo por un consorcio de 7 empresas miembros de la Agrupació. Los principales temas tratados en las más de 100 ponencias presentadas en el congreso fueron: Innovaciones en fibras (sostenibilidad), Fibras y textiles en automoción (movilidad), Fibras químicas para la protección medioambiental, Aplicaciones médicas; Telas no tejidas técnicas, Aplicaciones no convencionales de las fibras y Proyectos de investigación europeos. CONCORDIA TEXTILES NV NUEVOS DESARROLLOS EN MULTITUD DE LINEAS La gama Flamacryl crece con dos artículos de su planta de Asia, diseñados para 50 lavados industriales, acordes a la ISO 11612 (A1, A2, B1, C1, E1). Como producto estrella se presenta el Arc Flash Guard, un tejido laminado que cumple con la EN ISO 11611 (clases 1&2) para salpicaduras de aluminio y hierro EN ISO 11612 (A1, B2, C2, D3, E3); EN343 Clase 3/3. Flamacryl Flamestop es un Fire Retardant combinado EN ISO 11612 (50 lavados a 60oC). En la línea Omniclima, Concordia Textiles ofrece su Plug&Play: diferentes soluciones dependiendo de los deseos de los clientes, según niveles preciarios, la transpirabilidad, grado de impermeabilidad. Tienen diferentes tejidos base de poliéster, poliamidas, poliéster/algodón, algodón o modacrílicas y aramidas. Pueden ser recubiertas con lamina PU hidrófilo, o con e-PTFE o PU microporoso, siendo posible añadir un extra de tejido de punto o polar. También se ofrece Omniflamestop y OmniflamestopAS impermable, que cumple con EN343 clase 3.3. En la gama Foreman, Foreman Flamestop y Foreman Flamestop AS son las mas novedosas. Son tejidos patentados PES/CO Fire Retardant (lavado industrial a 60oC) que cumplen con EN 340 y ENISO 11611 clase 1 y la EN ISO 11612 A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, 471 en alta visibilidad. Ambos cumplen el arco eléctrico IEC61482 clase 1, y la versión AS también con la norma EN1149/5. Toda la calidad de Foreman estándar (65/35 PES/CO), y Foreman Air (35/65 PES/CO) está disponible en 471 colores de alta visibilidad, también con certificación EN13034, y es a prueba de rayos UV para el trabajo al aire libre. La línea High Protection muestra novedades, como la gama Soft-Shells impermeable, transpirable y cortavientos, que admite lavados a 60aC, incluso en sus versiones High Visibility. Destaca también el Multirisk CP, que aporta una solución de Asia, FR transpirable y resistente al agua. La gama se centra principalmente en tejidos recubiertos EN471 EN343 combinados con una oferta global procedente de Europa y Asia. AEI INTERVENTION DURING THE 51ST EDITION OF THE DORNBIRN MAN-MADE FIBERS CONGRESS The leading theme of the 51st edition of the Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Congress (Dornbirn-MFC) was “Communicating the future of chemical fibers”. This is the major international congress in the field of synthetic and chemical fibers, and was held from September 19th to 21st, in Dornbirn (Austria). Agrupació d’Empreses Innovadores Tèxtils (AEI – Textil Innovations Businesses Association, in Catalonian) was represented by its “cluster” manager, Dr. Ariadna Detrell, who was the moderator of one of the sessions focusing on Fibre Innovations. Her presentation, Solutions of Balance between Protection and Comfort in Firefighters Clothing showed end results obtained during the R+D Sos Textil project carried out by 7 companies that are members of this association. The main subjects on which over 100 presentations focused during this Congress included: Innovations in fibres (sustainability), Fibres and textiles in motion, Chemical fibres for environmental protection, Medical application, Non-woven technical fabrics, Non-conventional applications of fibres, and European research projects. CONCORDIA TEXTILES NV NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN SO MANY LINES Flamacryl is a range of products in ongoing expansion. Now, two new articles from its factory located in Asia have been developed to resist 50 industrial washing cycles, in compliance with ISO 11612 (1A, A2, B1, C1, E1). The star product is Arc Flash Guard, laminated fabric complying with EN ISO 11611 (classes 12) for aluminum and iron splashes, EN ISO 11612 (A1, B2, C2, D3, E3); EN 343 Class 3/3. Flamacryl Flamestop is a Fire Retardant fabric, combined, complying with EN ISO 11612 standards (50 washes at 60°C). The Omniclima line by Concordia Textiles includes Plug&Play: a number of different solutions that respond to clients’ requirements, in a price scale that corresponds to properties as breathability, resistance to water penetration. Various basic fabrics are available in polyester, polyamides, polyester/cotton, cotton or acrylic and aramides. They can be coated with water absorbent PU or micro-porous e-PTFE or PU and with the possibility of adding knitted or polar fabric. Omniflamestop and waterproof OmniflamestopAS are also available, complying with EN 343 class 3.3 standards. The most innovative are Foreman flamestop and Foreman flamestop AS in the Foreman product range. These are patented PES/CO Fire retardant fabrics (industrial washing cycles at 60°C), complying with EN 340 and ENISO 11611 class 1 standards and EN ISO 11612 A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, 471 requirements for high visibility fabrics. Both are certified to IEA 61482 class 1 standards for electric arc protection and the AS version also complies with EN 1149/5 standards. All standard Foreman (65/35 PES/CO) and Foreman Air (35/65 PES/CO) products are available in 471 colours for high visibility, also certified to EN 13034, resisting UV radiation for outdoor work. The High Protection product line brings novelties like the Soft-Shells, waterproof, breathable and wind stoppers resisting washing cycles at 60°C even in the High Visibility versions. Multirisk CP is also an outstanding solution from Asia, FR breathable and resisting water penetration. All of the products in this range focus mainly on coated fabrics, combined, certified to EN 471 and EN 343, for global markets and produced in Europe and Asia. 103
