Productos de actualidad/Updated products PROTECCIÓN LABORAL 71 | 2oTrimestre12 Gala: polo ignífugo para aplicaciones con riesgos severos Confecciones Gala, de Gijón (Asturias) ha incluido en su amplia gama de vestuario igní- fugo un polo de manga larga, apto para apli- caciones que se desarrollan en entornos como la industria química, refinerías, plantas eléctricas, Zonas ATEX (riesgo de explo- sión), así como para trabajos de soldadura ocasionales. Hecho con tejido piqué de composición mixta (49% modacrílica, 49% algodón y 2% de fibra antiestática), con un peso de 200 g/m2, el polo dispone de cuello camisero, fabricado con el mismo tejido que el resto de la prenda. Incorpora cierre con tres botones, puños elásticos y hombros reforzados, de modo que la prenda no se deforma con el uso. Opcionalmente, el fabricante ofrece la personalización con canesú, el color de alta visibilidad (AV), y la adición de una banda reflectante discontinua que mantiene la elas- ticidad del polo. Los accesorios son retardan- tes de la llama. Disponible en el segmento de tallas XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL y 3XL. La referencia 1110 corresponde a un polo según la pre-norma UNE EN ISO PR 20471, clase 2. Además está certificado según las normas EN 11612 (ignífugo), EN 1149 (antiestático) y EN 61482-1-2, clase 1 (resis- tencia frente al arco eléctrico). La empresa ha ejecutado un concienzudo trabajo de cer- tificación de productos eminentemente téc- nicos con el punto de mira puesto en la inter- nacionalización. Ergonomía y protección modular El objetivo de Gala es ofrecer prendas ergo- nómicamente diseñadas que garanticen el confort y la libertad de movimientos para eje- cutar cómodamente el trabajo. Las prendas se benefician del concepto de protección modular (sistema de capas), que consta de: - Una primera capa de ropa interior, en con- tacto con el cuerpo, que lo mantiene seco y protegido. - Una capa intermedia de aislamiento para retardar la llegada de calor o frío al cuerpo. - Una capa exterior que protege frente al foco térmico directo. La protección modular aumenta o disminuye el número de capas en función del nivel de riesgo. Confecciones Gala ha empleado teji- dos como Protex, Proban, Marlan, Marko, Nomex o Soft Shell en su nueva línea de ves- tuario ignífugo. La oferta de la línea de vestuario ignífugo incluye ropa interior Protex y Protex anties- tático (Primera Capa), cazadoras, buzos, camisas, polos... de Proban, Marko, Marlan (Segunda Capa), y chalecos, cazadoras y par- kas (Tercera Capa). Las prendas pueden per- sonalizarse con distintos complementos. 26 Gala: retardant polo shirt for applications with heavy risks Confecciones Gala, from Gijón (Asturias) has included in its wide range of flame retardant clothing a long sleeve polo shirt, suitable for applications that are devel- oped in environments such as chemical industry, refineries, power plants, ATEX Zone (risk of explosion) as well as for occasional welding. Made from piqué fabric of mixed composi- tion (49% modacrylic, 49% cotton and 2% antistatic fiber) with a weight of 200 g/m2, the polo has got a shirt collar, made from the same fabric as the rest of the gar- ment. It includes also a three buttons clo- sure, and elastic cuffs reinforcements at the shoulders, so that the garment does not deform during use. Optionally, the manu- facturer offers personalization with yoke, color of high visibility (HV), and the addi- tion of a discontinuous reflective band which maintains the elasticity of the polo shirt. The accessories are flame retardant. Available in the sizes segment XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and 3XL. The reference 1110 corresponds to a polo shirt according to the pre-standard PR EN ISO 20471, class 2. It is also certified according to EN 11612 (flame retardant), EN 1149 (electrostatic discharge) and EN 61482-1-2, class 1 (resistance to electric arcing). Ergonomics and modular protection The goal of Gala is to offer garments ergonomically designed to ensure the com- fort and freedom of movement to comfort- ably run the job. Garments benefit of the modular protection concept (system of lay- ers), which comprises: - A first layer of underwear, in contact with the body, keeping it dry and protected. - An intermediate layer of insulation to delay the arrival of heat or cold to the body. - An outer layer that protects against direct heat source. The modular protection increases or decreases the number of layers depending on the level of risk. Confecciones Gala has been using fabrics as Protex, Proban, Mar- lan, Marko, Nomex or Soft Shell in its new line of flame retardant clothing. The assortment of the fireproof clothing line includes Protex underwear and Pro- tex antistatic (First Layer), jackets, sweat- shirts, overalls, polo shirts... from Proban, Marko, Marlan (Second Layer), and vests, jackets and parkas (Third Layer). Gar- ments can be customized with various accessories.
