Ker- mel H66 suits were already chosen by Spanish fire brigades. The picture enclosed shows the new fire suits in Kermel H66 (rights: Sdis 78 / Kermel). The outer shell is the firefighter’s first line of defense. There can be no compromises. The Kermel fabric range matches superb tear and tensile strength with excellent thermal protection, while still guarantee- ing a durable and aesthetically pleasing product. Engineered to give exceptional mechanical properties, this double face fabric is built with Kermel and high tenac- ity yarn, providing fantastic durability and UV resistance. With a new, fresh look that lasts for years, it is available in many different colors. · Technical uses With innovative solutions, Kermel focus on technical and industrial applications related to high temperatures such as trans- ports (aeronautics, train industries), elec- trical insulation (Kermel Insulright paper). They provide maximal protection against high temperatures in very strin- gent environments, efficient protection against chemical agents and very good mechanical resistance. The Kermel® range is available in different forms: fibres (long or short-staple), techni- cal yarns, fabrics, knitwear, nonwovens, resins... The firm is displaying new Kermel-based fireproof blankets dedicated to protection against fire and sparks. Kermel, European manufacturer of aramid fibers, is devoted to protective clothing against heat and flames. Fire suits for fire fighters, together with protective coveralls for public order squads, military and industrial uses are some of the most popular applications. In parallel with these developments, Kermel is continuing its diversification in technical applications and, more recently, in the manufacture of underwear for high speed sports with its Skeed® brand. It is cer- tified according to ISO 9001:2008 for Quality, OHSAS 18001 for Safety, and OEKOTEX Standard 100 for Health. The latest novelties will be shown at Sicur (Hall 4, stand D08). 95
