PPE: MATERIALS, MACHINERY AND TECHNIQUES FOR THEIR PRODUCTION Innovations by A+A Klopman at During the coming edition of A+A held in Düsseldorf Klopman International will showcase a range of innovative products, suitable for making workwear, protective and corporate image clothes that enable manufacturers to create new models in accordance to market trends and clients’ needs. Protective wear Cleanstat N 130 (130 g/m2). Innovative lightweight fabric made from polyester, based on Nega-Stat® technology, offering antistatic protection. Suitable for use in clean rooms and painting areas in the automotive industry. Combining low-linting and barrier properties, with enhanced wearer comfort. Cleanstat N130 is 100% composed of recycled polyester filaments, complying with environmental standards. Luminex C2 (230 g /m2), a cotton-rich fabric complying with the highest standards for hi-vis clothing. As all other fabrics in Klopman’s Luminex range, it is certified to EN 471:2003, and stands out for its intense colours and high visibility. Due to its high cotton content and breathable texture, Luminex C2 feels exceptionally comfortable. May also be manufactured with recycled polyester. Luminex C-Lyte, 50% cotton and 50% polyester, weighing 180 g/mw, ideal for work shirts. Luminex C-Lyte is available in hi-vis orange and yellow, and as all other Luminex fabrics, it will withstand industrial washing, complying with the highest standards and requirements. Workwear Helford (210 g/m2), 50% polyester/50% Tencel® twill, combining excellent resistance to washing and great comfort, due to the special properties of Tencel® fibres, and their good humidity management. Drape and soft feel make it ideal for a full range of image wear for women. Tencel® is an alternative to cotton, due to its environmental production processes. Havana and Merida are Klopman’s latest addition to the range of stretch fabrics based on Lycra® T400® by Invista. Both products combine the elastic, permanent properties of Lycra®T400® fibres with excellent results when washed, offering maximum comfort. The ideal companion to existing choices by Klopman in terms of fabrics with Lycra® T400® fibres, with the additional advantage of resisting high-temperature industrial washing. Clothes made with Havana or Merida offer wearer comfort and freedom of movement, due to the elasticity and humidity management offered by Lycra® T400® fibres. Both fabrics are available in various weight and composition versions: Havana weighs 285 g/m2, and it is a 53% polyester/29% cotton/ 18% EME (LycraTM T400®) blend. Merida weighs 205 g/m2, and its composition is 43% polyester, 35% cotton and 22% EME (Lycra® T400® fibre). Corporate imagewear Klopman International will also showcase a full range of fabrics for corporate imagewear at A+A. The fabrics in this segment are ideal for making uniforms, casual wear, protective wear, and there are also Denim fabrics.
