3oTrimestre11 | PROTECCIÓN LABORAL 68 Updated products that maximize safety and comfort. Two of these improve- ments are technical, and the remaining two are newly designed models. The Elastrac® system has been techni- cally improved in terms of the thigh strap, and Lady- tracTM, specifically designed for women, shares technical improvements as well, while FabaTM is a newly designed harness with a system that avoids turns. The HT44, 45 and 46 ranges by Tractel now come with a thigh strap that, as opposed to the traditional V-shaped type that will cross the groin, is designed to embrace the higher part of the thigh. It is now sewn onto the main straps directly, but comes with a stainless steel buckle for strapping and the design proves to be more comfortable when walking or crouching. There is an additional advantage in that it will not cause discomfort in the groin area, and in the event of a fall, will not cause compres- sion. This type of leg strap, used in mountaineering har- nesses, had never been used before in protective equip- ment. ElastracTM is the new method that improves and extends the lifecycle of semi-elastic straps. With this system Tractel guarantees this property for the lifetime of the harness. With a plastic housing and a mechanism that works in combination with the traditional strap for more con- trolled and durable elasticity. In terms of the new products, LadytracTM has been designed specifically for women. The shoulder straps have been moved to the sides, so that they will not compress the chest and cause discomfort. The design now includes an elastic vest that helps fit the harness around the body, with an elastic waistline. The model is available in two versions: harness only, or with positioning belt. Both come with automatic loops, shoulder and leg adjustment and back ring. Finally, Tractel has launched its FabaTM model, a high-per- formance harness specifically designed for work in struc- tures with vertical lifelines, in their cable or rail versions. The harness comes with the above-mentioned improve- ments (thigh strap and ElastracTM), to which the company adds a revolutionary system avoiding turns when ascend- ing or descending, a situation that is usual when using front rings. In the event of a fall, and because of the spe- cial seam system, the force of the fall will be dissipated and on the other hand, the ring moves from the front to the back, so the user will not be turned. FabaTM harnesses are available in a single model, in several sizes, with front and front rings, positioning belt, ElastracTM system, thigh strap, quick-connection buckles and several positions for adjusting. With these novelties Tractel seeks to contribute its knowl- edge and latest advances to the world of fall arrest PPE, with improvements that are quite simple, but very effective. 63 PARA MÁS INFORMACIÓN, CONTACTE CON: comercial@prensa-tecnica.com
