MARINA TEXTIL Soluciones específicas para fundiciones de aluminio, hierro y otros metales La compañía Marina Textil, especialista ría de Usuarios sometidos a riesgos de salpicadu- Specific solutions for aluminium, iron and other metal molting and casting businesses Marina Textile specializes in the production of technical protective fabrics, with over fifteen years as the manufacturer of the full range of MarlanTM textile pro- ducts, so widely recognized around the world. It is due to its excellent behavior as a protector against molten metal splash, and its great acceptance in the sector, that this trademark became a partner of Mari- na Textil. This is good news, for it means satisfaction is guaranteed for all users. Marlan fabrics are used in any one of the three molting and casting field types existent, whether involving iron or not, and involving other metals. However, it is important to choose the right type of fabric, based on a number of factors: the temperature of metal fusion, type of metal, type of operation – primary, secon- dary, recycling – work environment, among others. In accordance to this, users will choose the right type of Marlan, with a given weight, with or without alumi- nium treatment, or ceramic, etc. It is indispensable to assess a number of hazards as well: welding, heat, high visibility, room temperature. So, with these factors in mind Marina Textil has launched its Technical Department project that studies the circumstances and conditions in which workers will carry out their activities. There are also negative or unsatisfactory aspects that will be taken into account, all of them resulting from users’ feedback. Over three years of technical studies It is neither easy nor immediate that you can learn about the views of the large number of people subjected to potential motel metal splashes. Nor it is easy to unify criteria. There are discrepancies in all sectors, depending on people’s opi- nions and experiences. On many occasions, once you find a solution there will be an additional factor that forces you to start all over again. Some solutions will be accepted in a num- ber of countries or zones, while in others, they will be not. To gather all infor- mation in order to be able to offer this Marlan solution-product that will suit each area, Marina Textil has invested some three years in technical work and studies. Various scenarios, different fabrics In most production plants there are different work areas, with their specific hazards and protection needs. The study that seeks to bring the perfect solution to each of the worker groups has to be carried out with a number of factors in mind, though the most important will be that of the time workers spend in the furnace areas and others involving extreme temperatures, etc. Most of the people working in this industry sector will never be in contact with molten metal, and thus, would not be exposed to splashes. But this does not mean they won’t need at least some protection. They must have a number of sui- table solutions at hand. There is also a group of people working in maintenance, who will be exposed to hazards as when they handle batteries, who might suf- fer injuries from handling acids, or when they are in contact with electric equip- ment and welding tools. Marina Textil brings specific solutions to each group, and there is a right type of fabric for e very area, with the right type of effective protection for people. Wit- hout a doubt, and in accordance to recommendations offered by the company’s Technical Department, users will find the perfect combination and type of protec- tion against the hazard in question. The company offers customized presenta- tions for every type of activity, as in molting, aluminium, iron, and other metals. Marina Textil sigue fiel a su formula PCPDA, ( PRO- TECTION, COMFORT , PRICE, DURABILITY, ADI- TIONAL BENEFITS). 57 GALERÍA DE PRODUCTOS/ PRODUCTS GALLERY EPI: MATERIALES, MAQUINARIA Y TÉCNICAS PARA SU FABRICACIÓN/ PPE: MATERIALS, MACHINERY AND TECHNIQUES FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
