Estas novedades se concretan en tres nuevos guantes (tipo ame- ricano serraje, americano serraje reforzado, y soldador). “Todos ellos han sido certifica- dos en laboratorios españoles, de manera que garantizamos que la calidad de los mis- mos es acorde a la legislación vigente. Ade- más, el guante de soldador cumple con los tres requerimientos de este tipo de produc- tos, las normas EN 388, 407 y 12477, clase A”, afirma Asier Basterretxea, gerente de Mape Seguridad. Se trata de productos maduros y conocidos, pero que han sido desarrollados por fabri- cantes de primer nivel en Asia y testados en España. Dichos productos se han incorpora- do a la gama de marca propia cumpliendo todas las normativas vigentes, aspecto defini- torio de la política de marca de la empresa. Mape Seguridad también ha llevado a cabo un ‘restyling’ de varios modelos de calzado. La mejora, que ha afectado a tres modelos de calzado Bikbo y uno de Qwork, ha servi- do para adaptarlos a las nuevas normativas antideslizamiento. Además, Mape ha aprove- chado para mejorar su diseño e incrementar la calidad del producto, manteniendo los precios. “Ofrecemos un producto más van- guardista, dinámico y actual que, además, cumple con los nuevos requerimientos”, cita Basterretxea, quien añade que “para informar a los clientes de los cambios, hemos realizado unos pequeños folletos de marca propia que incluyen estos nuevos diseños acogidos a la normativa”. Mape Seguridad, consciente que la seguri- dad laboral es una materia que no ofrece segundas oportunidades, advierte del grave problema que crea la venta de EPI sin homo- logación, y del deterioro del canal de venta debido al intrusismo. En ese sentido, procla- ma que “los clientes deben conocer cuáles son los puntos seguros para realizar sus compras. Nuestras marcas cumplen la legis- lación y conocemos también sus limitacio- nes. No todos los productos valen para todo, por lo que debemos saber hasta dónde certi- fican y por qué”. Mape Seguridad expands range of protective gloves and footwear products Mape Seguridad is about to celebrate its 55th anniversary. The company, located in Derio, Biscay, is a recognized specialist in the distribution of protective equipment, and always points to the importance of marketing certified PPE, complying with standards in force. Consistent with its policy promoting ongoing improvements, Mape has recently added interesting novelties in its Qwork&Bikbo 2011. These are the com- pany’s wholly owned brands. The novelties are three new gloves (American type split leather, American reinforced split leather, and welder), “all of them certified at Span- ish laboratories so we guarantee quality is consistent with legal requirements. The welding glove also complies with the three necessary standards, EN 388, 407 and 12477 Class A”, states Asier Basterretxea, manager of Mape Seguridad. All of the company’s products are known and well-established, manufactured by first-level producers in Asia and tested in Spain. They have been added to the company’s brand while complying with all standards, as this is Mape’s foremost principle and policy. Mape Seguridad has also re-styled several footwear models, improving three models in Bikbo’s footwear range, and one in Qwork. This, in order to adapt them to the new non-slip standards.
