For them, GAES developed a special hear- ing aid to be attached to the hearing pro- tector, with a flexible wire and audio con- nection with the radio receiver (3.5 mm jack), and with acoustic filters. To better meet the needs of specific work- places GAES developed adapted hearing protectors customizing them to whatever workers in the petrochemical sector need (engineers, workers, firefighters), as this is a sector where everyone needs to wear and use PPE, adapting to the hazards posed by potentially explosive atmospheres. The communications systems include hearing airs that will abate noise while enhancing the sound of voices. With hear- ing protectors adapted to the hearing aids, technically marked as ATEX. • Special adaptations for the musical sector Designed to offer individual protection meeting the special needs of musicians using electronic instruments. Allow for the use of In-EAR protectors, made from soft silicon, for listening to music in any envi- ronments, with 3.5 mm jack, also suitable for live concerts and rehearsals. For singers and orchestra members, the company designed micro-monitors that screen the acoustics inside the ear, on a wide frequency range. Monitoring instru- ments and the mixing of sounds at moder- ate volumes and levels, excluding noise and with up to 25 dB abatement for out- side sound sources. • Molds for pilots’ communications systems Car racing pilots need hearing protection devices that will adapt to their communi- cations systems. Gaes has developed hear- ing aids for effective connection among team members. Gaes has also developed hearing protec- tion molds adapted to communications systems used by airline pilots and airport staff and crewmembers.
