Light and resistant, the renovated Top Vincap line is here Fal Calzados de Seguridad, the manufac- turer of work shoes and boots, renovated the Top Vincap line known for its ultra light, Vincap tip and metal-free puncture sole. Changes have been made to add new models while modifying existing ones. The metal-free antipuncture sole complies with ISO EN 20344 standards for hazards in the presence of nails, splinters, glass, etc. which might cause injuries when stepping on them. The insole combines resistance, flexibility, comfort, protection and light weight. Made from fabric that is more resistant than leather and will also resist flames and high temperatures, protecting against thermal hazards of up to 400 degrees Celsius. The ultra-light Vincap tip, launched by Fal Seguridad in 2002 and resulting from long years of research work, complies with EN 344 and EN 345 standards and is designed to resist shock of up to 200 Joules and compression of up to 15Kn. Vincap makes footwear lighter, avoiding fatigue and stress caused by heavy footwear. It will not rust, does not cause allergies and feels more comfortable as compared to traditional metal tips. Top Vincap comprises shoes, low-legged boots, long-legged boots made from box- calf, split leather and hydrofuged Nubuck, with lace or Velcro fastening systems. With polyurethane soles avoiding muscle fatigue and vibrations, absorbing shock in the heel area and protecting against injuries to the muscles. The sole has antis- lipping groove design. Fal Seguridad adds thirteen new, metal- free models to its Top Vincap line, all marked with international symbols S1, S2 or S3 or SB+A, meaning the boot or shoe can dissipate electrostatic charges, with resistance ranging from 0,1 M to 1.000 M , in addition to offering protection against other hazards like punctures, and repelling water or hydrocarbons.
