Consistent with their ongoing innovation policies and commitment towards safety, the company located in Biscay has created a wide range of choices for safety tapes as essential to prevent accidents at work. Depending on their use, their products are divided into two major groups: - Non-adhesive tapes Safety tapes, police tapes, signage tapes for firefighters, tapes warning about underground pipes and connections (gas, water, electricity, telecommunications...). Also, customized tapes with the name of the company, always in compliance with safety standards and regulations. - Adhesive tapes The most widely known are signage tapes, safety signage tapes and traffic signage tapes, etc. Among the many references shown on the catalogue there are two types of adhesive tapes that are interest- ing due to their properties: anti-skid tapes and photo-luminescent tapes. - Non-skid tapes. Flooring made with min- eral material, like tiles, marble, stone, granite, clay tiles, etc. are normally safe but when wet may become a true “skat- ing rink”. As they are slippery they become hazardous and slip falls are the reason for accidents that represent high costs to the company and workers. This affects absenteeism rates and productivity, and is the reason for additional expensive translated into insurance costs or indemnity expenses, etc. Marve is aware of the need to guarantee workers’ safety and health, in addition to offering the same pro- tection to clients and suppliers. The new 2008 catalogue includes non-skid tapes adapted to various situations, with different colours, sizes and friction levels. - Photo-luminescent tapes. This kind of tapes, used for many years at sea, is now mandatory in industrial facilities and public areas, in accordance to ISO 16069 standards. During a fire, smoke is one of the most dangerous consequences for it makes evac- uation difficult as it reduces visibility and may cause intoxications, causing panic among those who need to be evacuated, and thus producing fatal consequences. With Marve evacuation tapes it is possible to keep evacuation routes clearly marked, for easy visualization of exits even when crawling on the floor due to the presence of smoke or fumes. Marve’s new catalogue places emphasis on the need for signage elements, for “even if apparently safe, the workplace can turn into a hazardous environment”. Francisco Mendi S.L. introduce the new “Fast” (shoe) and “Quick” (boot) models to their collection. These products have been designed for indoor work, as in warehous- es or transportation services, and also for independent professionals in general. Both offer the same safety and protection levels, with an attractive design and sportive style. Both models are comfortable and light in weight, metal-free, so they are also rec- ommended for people working in the electricity sector. “Fast” and “Quick” are made with felt leather and mesh fabric, so they are ventilat- ed and breathable. The models greatly exceed European standards. The outsole is made of bi-colour rubber nitrile, with TPU reinforcements on the shanks to protect against torsion and sprains. The outsole is non-slip to protect against aflls and will resist heat, hydrocarbons and chemicals. The insole offers additional comfort. The models have thermo-polymer tips, non-magnetic and insulating, and the antiipuc- ture sole pad is made of Kevlar® fabric. The thermo-polymer tip weighs 43% less than a traditional metal- lic tip, so the footwear products are lighter in weight. All compo- nents of the tip may be recycled, and are thus environmental- ly-friendly. The Kevlar fabric anti-puncture sole pad protect the foot sole against cuts, and is non-magnetic and insulating like the thermo-polymer tip. It is very flexible and light for improved comfort. Both “Fast” and “Quick” are available in many sizes, from 37 to 47. PARA MÁS INFORMACIÓN, CONTACTE CON: comercial@prensa-tecnica.com
