3oTrimestre07 | PROTECCIÓN LABORAL 52 Productos de actualidad / Updated Products - UNE-EN ISO 20345: Work footwear (ISO 20347:2004) In accordance to this Standard, work footwear is defined as footwear with elements designed to protect users against injuries caused by accidents. The catalogue by Curtidos Galaicos features a wide range of models: Shoes (Z-114, Z-118) for workers in the engineering, technical or logistics areas, and Work Boots (044, 094 and 045-T), for phone installers, electricians or workers in the assembly line who do not require safety footwear. There are models for forestry workers in both fire-fight- ing intervention and forestry maintenance and cleaning areas ((T-010-HID, T-007, T-008, Ranger 1 or Ranger 2). All of them are manufactured with top-quality hydrofuged split leather or Nubuck, and may include various linings like split leather, grain leather, waterproof, breathable Sympatex® mem- branes or thermo-regulating Outlast® membranes. The sole pads are made of natural leather for increased comfort, breathability and durability. The soles are made of rubber-nitrile, resisting oil, hydrocarbons (FO) and grease, and also contact heat transmission (HRO). Tests reveal these soles will offer the highest possible protection levels against slipping hazards. The sole is sewn onto the leather cut and in these models, the process is known as “Goodyear sewn” soles. - UNE-EN ISO 20345: Safety footwear (ISO 20345:2004) In accordance to this Standard, safety footwear must integrate ele- ments that will protect users from injuries caused by accidents, with safety tips and designed to offer protection against shock of at least 200 J, protecting also against compression while success- fully passing compression tests of at least 15 kN. Designed to protect workers in sev- eral fields: electric assembly, phone line assembly, railways, ship- yards, etc. In general, made of a single piece, without side seams, protecting the instep and with the option of non-metallic protec- tive tips. S2 and S3 EN ISO 20345-certified models (P-250, P-044, P- 094, P-044-P, etc.) - Fire-fighters’ boots. Designed to protect fire-fighters. Models: B-89- P and B-88. All made with top-quality hydrofuged Nubuck or split leather (WRU), with various lining options, split leather, grain leather, waterproof and breathable Sympatex® membranes or thermo-regulating Outlast®. The inner sole is of natural leather for increased comfort, breathability and durability. The soles are made of rubber-nitrile and will resist grease, oil and hydrocarbons (FO), and also heat contact transmission (HRO). Proved to provide the highest available protection against slipping hazards. The sole is sewn by means of the “Ideal sewn sole” system, especially conceived for safety footwear models.
