Productos de actualidad PROTECCIÓN LABORAL 51 | 2oTrimestre07 Top Vincap, FAL’s specific line of products protecting against electrical hazards Cartel Genérico de Obra, respuesta de Marve a necesidades emergentes FAL Calzados de Seguridad, manufacturers of boots and footwear for industrial use, add new Top Vincap models to their product lines for protection against electrical hazards. These products have no metallic components, and feature Vincap tips avoiding electricity transmission. They also have non-metallic anti-punc- ture sole pads. Products by FAL Seguridad, designed to protect against electrical hazards, are labeled with international protection symbols S1, S2, S3 or SB+A, meaning footwear will dissipate electrostatic charges with resistance between 0.1 MΩ and 1,000 MΩ, in addition to offering resistance against other hazards including punctures, water penetration or contact with hydrocarbons. FAL Seguridad used no metallic components in the construction of footwear protecting against electrical hazards, replacing these by elements that will offer the highest protection with additional advantages: reducing foot fatigue as footwear is lighter in weight, eliminating rust and allergies, increasing comfort and offering improved protection for workers in workplaces with electrical hazards. In order to comply with the strictest requirements, the manufac- turers developed their own exclusive, composite tip. Their devel- opment complies with EN 344 and EN 345 standards, resisting up to 200 Joules and 15 Kn compression. The new non-metallic anti- puncture sole pads are flexible and comfortable and comply with En 12568 and ISO EN 20344 standards and requirements for pro- tection against punctures caused by nails, splinters, glass or other elements potentially capable of penetrating conventional soles. FAL Calzados de Seguridad offers a total ten footwear models con- taining no metallic parts, reducing electrical hazards and protect- ing wearers. All of them share a number of features, including the Vincap tip and non –metallic anti-puncture sole pad: - EN-ISO 20345 Certificate. - Material and structure dissipate electrostatic charges (interna- tional A-level protection label). - Insulating against cold floors (CI protection label). - Heel shock absorption protecting against sprains and muscular injuries. - Sole with anti-slipping grooves and pills. Argon, Marte Top, Mercurio Top, Vulcano Top and Omega Top (three low-leg boots and two shoe models, respectively) are made with hyrofuged black split leather. Thione Top, Deimos Top and Cometa shoes are made with Cordura® and grain leather. Ampe- rio and Ohmio, shoe and boot, respectively, are made with hydrofuged black split leather, with breathable, waterproof Gore- Tex lining.
