Esta publicación, elaborada por AEE, contiene los datos más representativos de la aportación de la eólica en nuestro país. El Anuario analiza el momento actual de la energía eólica en España y en el mundo, con valoraciones sobre la aportación de esta tecnología en el nuevo escenario energético mundial y de cara a los objetivos europeos y nacionales, avanzando hacia un modelo que permita una industria eólica competitiva, sostenible económicamente y con capacidad para seguir desarrollando I+D y valor añadido. La energía eólica es la tecnología que más aporta a nuestro sistema energético, superando el 23% de la demanda en 2021. Asimismo, la eólica española es la quinta potencia a nivel mundial en el ranking de países con mayor potencia eólica instalada y la segunda a nivel europeo. Potencia y generación eólica en España En 2021, se instalaron en España 842,61 MW eólicos y se desmantelaron 18,30 MW, situando el total a 31 de diciembre en 28.139,51 MW (según datos recabados por AEE, utilizando el criterio de Acta de Puesta en Servicio). En España hay 1.298 parques eólicos presentes en 857 municipios, con 21.574 aerogeneradores instalados. Asimismo, hay más de 250 centros de fabricación en dieciséis de las diecisiete comunidades autónomas. En 2021, se generaron 60.485 GWh eólicos, un 10,2% más que en 2020. Además, la eólica funcionó una media de 2.140 horas equivalentes anuales y ha cubierto el 23,3% de la generación total a nivel nacional en 2021, colocándose como la primera tecnología del mix energético español, por encima de la nuclear (20,8%) que hasta el momento ocupaba esa primera posición. Ranking por CCAA y provincias Las comunidades autónomas con mayor potencia eólica instalada son Castilla y León (6.404 MW), Aragón (4.435 MW) y Castilla La Mancha (3.954 MW). En cuanto al ranking de generación eólica por provincias, Zaragoza se mantiene en 2021 en la primera posición con 8.160 GWh, siendo The Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) has released a new edition of the benchmark publication for Spain’s wind power sector: the Wind Energy Yearbook 2022, the voice of the sector. This publication, drawn up by AEE, contains the most representative data on the contribution of Spanish wind power to the country. The Yearbook analyses the current situation of wind power in Spain and around the world, with assessments regarding the contribution of this technology to the new global energy scenario and in the light of the European and national objectives, making progress towards a model that enables a competitive, economically sustainable wind power industry that has the capacity to continue to develop R&D and added value. Wind power is the technology that makes the largest contribution to Spain’s energy system, covering 23% of demand in 2021. Spanish wind power is fifth in the world ranking of countries with the largest installed capacity and lies second at European level. Wind power capacity and generation in Spain In 2021, 842.61 MW of wind power were installed in Spain, with 18.30 MW dismantled, bringing the total as of 31 December to 28,139.51 MW (according to data gathered by AEE, using Commissioning Protocol criteria). Ranking by autonomous community and province The autonomous communities with the highest installed wind power capacities are Castilla y León (6,404 MW), Aragón (4,435 MW) and Castilla-La Mancha (3,954 MW). As regards wind power generation ranking by province, Zaragoza remained in first place in 2021 with 8,160 GWh - the first province in history to exceed 8 TWh of wind power generation, followed by Lugo with 4,674 GWh and Burgos with 4,511 GWh. 47 Spanish provinces currently benefit from wind power generation, of which 20 produce more than 1 TWh (that covers the consumption of 285,000 households). Contribution to GDP and job creation Wind power contributes over €3.1bn to the Spanish economy, 0.3% of GDP, with exports valued at over €1.74bn.
