32|REPORTAJE WWhen first inspecting the building, we chose the main corridor for the installation. From the architectural point of view, it impressed us and we could not resist the temptation”, has explained to iCandela Luisa Álvarez, Lighting Designer and co-founder of Travesías de Luz. The character of the space, the building ́s history and the city of Se- govia lead us to design a great time tunnel which originated from different ideas: a huge structure made up of Tetra Brick cartons and light. The building ́s architecture and our sculpture had to combine smoothly, as the building conveyed a feeling of toughness, and of great force, which causes an impact on the onlooker. The installation aimed at making dimmer the building ́s history as a prison and turning it into a lit passage. We were able to recycle 5,000 Tetra Brik cartons from an excess production and were supplied by the company Tetra Pack in Spain.
