dramatic and emotional’ stated one of the members of the Jury. ‘This project displays the power of light and how it can change simple objects into sculptu- res and also achieve the simple task of illuminating the objects, making poetry out of it’. The concept of lighting creates a composition of light and shade; the components are the exhibited objects, their shades and the way the light hits the floor. The materials used are basic: The ceiling (with integrated railings and projectors in the same colour of the con- crete), walls and floor. This also happens in a Japanese Zen garden: the proper lighting elements, and the mixing of ave- rage colours with light and shades. ‘The light creates a new form of art in Lagares Showroom’, praised one of the panellists. Several steel cables not only holding the toilets but also perform as transparency filters within the space’. The railings on the ceiling also follow a certain order. The versatility of placing the fixtures in the rails enables the exact focus on objects. A thin line of lights attached to the cei- ling and the halogen lamps with a very narrow beam shine on every object from above, creating a shadow right under them, on the floor. Shadows are well ordered, intensifying the visual effect of levitation of the products.
