Los productos que se exhiben en el showroom son una parte esencial de la composición, de la misma manera que en un jardín zen, las rocas, el musgo, y la arena o la grava aparecen integradas en un mismo lugar. El Lighting Designer Maurici Ginés, de artec3 Studio, ha sido premiado con uno de los IALD Awards of Excellence por el proyecto de iluminación de este showroom, realizado en 2009 por RCR Arquitectes. The inspiration for the lighting project of the Lagares Showroom in Girona is a Japanese Zen garden. The products exhibited in the showroom are essential in the composition, as in a Zen garden, the rocks, musk and sand or gravel are integrated in one single place. El Lighting Designer Maurici Ginés, from artec3 Studio, has been awarded one of the IALD Awards of Excellence by the lighting Project in this showroom, performed in 2009 by RCR Arquitectes. It is a very important award in the world of lighting, It is the first time the Award of Excellence is granted to a Spanish llighting designer, I am very happy about this’, has said Maurici Ginés to iCandela. ‘This award comes in a mo- ment of deep depression of the sector in Spain due to the economic crisis which is striking us hard, and it’s a new fresh air that encourages us to keep on with illusion, believing in what we do. It is also a way for Spanish design to be acknowledged abroad, in the cradle of Lighting Design, and in an international competition where many projects from all over the world concur.
