14|apuntes The intensity of light in the different areas is carefully adjusted leaving some in the shade; special dichroic filters allow to get the right colour of light able to emphasize the architectural materials and elements of nature avoiding any form of glare. The frequency and rhythm of the earth align themselves with those of the moon and the work draws its charm, its artistic value, its own meaning from this relation- ship, from this dialogue between artificial light and natural light that alternates sequences of peaceful tones to modula- tions and more definite expressions of the one and the other interlocutor. During the full moon dialogue softens, beco- mes more intense and the exchange reaches the highest level of intimacy: the artificial light, gentle, condescen- ding, minimal, restrict itself to exploit the reflection in the water of the natural one. Fibers optic and LED The employment of fibers optic and LED sources allowed us to achieve two fundamental objectives, a significant reduction of energy consumption and an equally significant reduction in costs. The project is in line with the principle of environmental sustainability and with a new vision of the future that has com- pletely changed the criteria and rules of design. The employed LED light sources and electronic components provide the highest levels of durability; the significant reduction of power consumption, which is the most important goal, produces a huge extension of device’s maintenance times with the consequent elimination of burdens and problems related to disposal. Moreover the devices are discrete, abso- lutely unobtrusive, able to camouflage in the architecture hiding from view and avoiding any possible forms of tampering or damage. The realized interventions does not inter- fere with the brightness of the sky, rather it draws it in a primitive dance made of light and water. The visitor does not have barriers but views to see or glimpse, parking areas which consent to watch everything, a few moments to reflect on an example of restoration of the count- less wounds of the Italian landscape.
