After a busy but refreshing summer, we are here to start the course in top form, and eager to take up and tackle new challenges and projects. In this 26th edition, as we promised, we release a new stage and, with it, renewed illusions, but with the same firm purpose as always: to continue colla- borating in the dissemination of knowledge about lighting, in all its areas, to increase in whatever possi- ble the interest of our readers for the light. The new image is a step forward in the evolution of iCandela, because the written professional press is not exempt from the maremágnum that the media live in general, perhaps for that reason, we are obli- ged to renew or to die. It is possible that the future of information is inevitably digital, but it does not seem to be happening immediately. Wether we like it or not, we will have to coexist in a hybrid way for many years yet... The new design also perfectly reflects the values of the magazine: sharpness, vanguard, dy- namism, quality and, above everything, the love for light and for those who do not conceive the world without it. Alberto Campo Baeza, the main figure of this issue, is a clear example. It is evident that no book, catalogue, newspaper or printed magazine can compete with the immediacy of the digital world and access, in real time, to almost all the information we generate. However, at the time being, navigating the internet searching data or news is not comparable to the irresistible pleasure that co- mes from having your favorite author, your headline newspaper in your hands ¬–it is true that more and more we can only do it during the weekends–, or that work tool we keep –as if it were a collector–, often with a signal about what aroused our interest and, which we consulted a posteriori, as if it had an added regarding to what was seen in the Web page. It has it, we are convinced that it has it, and we clearly bet for it with this new image and contents. We look forward to your comments and wish you en- joy reading. That may mean that you have one of the most precious treasures of the era we live. Time. See you at the PLDC in Paris and at InteriHotel, Barcelona. Mercedes Arroyo Editora
