Constructora: Edhinor of aluminum blades by Saint Gobain, regained the simplicity it had in the original configuration, On the wall in the back of this space, a video-wall, created with Samsung technology, was placed; it features up to date information about Madrid and its cultural activities. Further information on these activities can be found in other locations in the Centre. In designing a space such as this one, lighting has been decisive and of paramount importance. The requirement for the adequate amount of light for the office of the informants, according to regulations, was known, but the quality in the formal aspect was also very important. The main idea was to conceive a lighting solution that would create, day or night, a peaceful space of rest, standing in contrast with the bustle of the city, where information could be offered and received calmly. As general indirect light for the space in the vaulted area, some existing spotlight luminaries of the “candle” type, that shine an oblique light on the vaults, were kept. For the illumination over the desk, a leds luminary, IN30 by iGuzzini, that shines antiglare black light was used, and for the area of events, iGuzzini electrified rails with Palco bulbs by the same manufacturer, were placed For the floor and as beaconing for the visually impaired visitors, concentric inground luminaries, by Linea Light Group, were installed. Finally, to illuminate the patio, three rows of suspended led luminaries, model Extraplana by Lamp, were placed hidden behind the blades of the lattice. These luminaries had a DALI system of reading and automatic regulation of compensatory intensity of the patio’s natural light. With it, a similar degree of illumination was achieved during daytime and during the night hours. ■
