Para finalizar el recorrido, se visita algu- na edificación en construcción o edificio new professional and social interactions are established in more informal manner. The usual field trip consists of a visit to a company that is in some way or another connected with lighting and at the same time contributes as a sponsor to the study process. A short presentation of the company, a presentation of the products and a visit of the production facilities is usually in the first part of the visit. Very important bond is establishing here between the academics and professionals. We depend on each other more than we are willing to admit sometimes. The second part of the field trip is usually more sociable where the lighting experts share their experience with future architects. As a conclusive part of a field trip some building sites or finished buildings that encompass interesting lighting solutions are visited. (Picture 4) Individual consultations: encouraging The design studio at the faculty of architecture where every student is making his/hers own individual project/ research under the guidance of a mentor has become the most important terminado que presente soluciones de iluminación interesantes. The design studio is a synthesis of creativity and also of a more technical knowledge that enables the ideas to be realized. Structural engineering, materials, color theory, preservation etc. are just some of them. It is a kind of support to the design studios and a wide field for brainstorming. During individual consultations teacher and student can investigate deep into the matter of a lighting problem and exchange their opinions and propose solutions. A lot of the knowledge on lighting is also connected with electrical installations therefore it is essential that student gets some of this knowledge as well. Results/what students bring into practice, dissemination Undoubtedly, the flow of information/ newest achievements from lighting laboratories is increased. Individual case studies that are essential for ongoing transfer of new ways of approach, new design principles, but also limitations and drawback of new technologies are presented to the future architects. No sólo en Arquitectura y Diseño es necesario tener por lo menos un conocimiento básico de iluminación, sea ésta natu- LEDs, glare and recycling are only few of the fields that have to be taken care of. Beside the regular pedagogical process at the faculty a dissemination of the knowledge to the other levels of practice is also very important. Not only architecture and design, but also urbanism, spatial planning, traffic management, preservation of cultural heritage, daycare for elderly people and children, safety and security issues, education in elementary schools and high schools are among the fields that should encompass at least some basic knowledge and awareness of the importance of lighting – this being natural or electrical. A knowledge is called successful when it penetrates into all levels of social life and everybody benefits from it. For that reason a lot of seminaries, workshops and symposiums are organized by the Faculty of architecture, we also participate and contribute in public events that take place in other institutions. Light Europa, Balkan Light, CIE symposiums and local conferences set-up by Lighting Engineering Society of Slovenia and other organizations are also social events where new contact
