62|A FONDO characteristics for each client striving for maximum efficiency. Applus certifies the quality of the technology to be implemented in the energy savings project. Our suppliers undergo strict tests in our laboratories to verify that the technical characteristics are the ones offered by the manufacturers and to guarantee that the specifications required by the project are met. In order to guarantee the technical specifications offered by the manufacturers, the equipment is tested in the laboratory: ✓ Lighting tests: photometry, Ta color, Isolux curve, IES/LDT files ✓ Energy efficiency tests: W, PF, THDi, lm/W Finally the manufacturer and product selected was: Sunfor Ilight. Energy Performance Contract The Energy Performance Contract is the model contract commonly used in lighting systems improvement projects, VFD and it allots 50% of the savings generated for each one of the parties. The proposal for action with the new technology poses savings for: • Reduction of use (kWh) • Reduction of the Potency Term • Reduction of maintenance (reposition) The procedure to determine the net benefit is the following: • Gross savings of the project: it is found by adding the energy savings and the increase savings in maintenance and reposition. • The cost of the investment and its financing, generating fixed quota investment repayments. • The repayments quota is subtracted from the gross savings and the result is the net benefit of the project. • This proposal of shared benefits distributes the savings of the project at 50% for each party. The ESE guarantees the minimum savings obtained with the implementation of the project and receives an amount, previously established, for the costs incurred plus the profitability of the project. If the real savings obtained are less that those guaranteed, the ESE will pay the difference. The method use to distribute the savings is executed through the issuance of the corresponding invoice of charges from Applus to the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real. The project consists of the substitution of 2.102 luminaries for LED technology. By substituting the conventional luminaries for LED, a more efficient operation of the electric installation can be achieved through the reduction of the power used per luminary to obtain the same previous luminous level.
