Our role as educators then, should be to make good use of technology as well as traditional sources to arouse interest among students about our subject and its topics. Some of us are, in words of Mark Prensky2 “digital immigrants”, versus the “digital natives” represented by the students, born in the digital era. Parallel to the technology and its integration into the courses we consider it is very important to establish a mutual respect between educator and student, in the meaning of taking into account student’s background when subject starts. In this way, short presentations of their lasts works have been very helpful in courses like ours, where only students who have passed the first grade of studies can enroll. By our professional experience, we have learnt how important is teamwork and collaboration together with good communication, to bring to fruition a project, normally everything ends up successfully in a very natural process. This are keys that we try to promote in every course’s year. The feedback from students of last academic year have motivated us to write this article. It is a kind of recognition for the work done, for their interest and commitment put into the projects of the two past voluntary semesters. Projects Winter semester Living room under the bridge (Obyvacka pod mostom). In collaboration with Atrium architects3 and SPOTs project4. The 27 students enrolled this semester, formed 6 different teams with the aim of creating 6 different temporary installations with the topic Living room under the bridge, by using part of infrastructure created by Atrium during the summer. Projects developed, from the ideas, through discussion, presentation to Atrium, workshop and final installation, were: 1. Light painting: Ingredients: Camera with adjustable exposure time, small light sources, back scene (living room furniture), laptop, screen and projector and talented painter. “We can bring fun to other people by using minimum of things. They just paint on the air with light and then they see their picture projected on the screen. Although the painting is not quite hilarious, fun is guaranteed. You can let your imagination free, use furniture and paint whatever is missing in your living room or just let your friend sit on the chair and upgrade him/ her personality”. 2. Luminous living room Sofa+lamp “Our main idea was to create living room as an independent luminous object with the help of diffuse and weather resistant materials.
