Calculux is a program very oriented towards economic data and energy savings. 4. Graphic Data As to the graphic data, Dialux and Relux offer rendered 3D images with realistic effects. The effects of natural and artificial light are extremely realistic in Dialux. The furniture is also more realistic in Dialux due to its variety and the possibility of assigning materials to them. Relux offers better performance in the representation of textures in the facings. The three programs attach isolux graphics and data matrices at the printing. As to the “isocandela” graphics, we only found them in Calculux. In Relux we can hide objects and specific luminaries from the edit objects window in order to attain certain visions. 5. Conclusions Dialux is recommended for a precision study and to evaluate the lighting effects of artificial as well as natural lighting. The effects of rendered light compared to the real thing, are surprisingly similar. We can reach a very high precision in the geometry of the space because its editing possibilities are extensive. The lighting data is precise. Since it is an internationally recognized program, most of the manufacturers of luminaries have introduced their catalogues in Dialux. However, the required Plug- in will have to be installed. Relux, is specially recommended for a quick study of the lighting of a space, and especially if what is intended is an improvement by Perspectiva frontal de luz natural, Relux (inferior), Dialux (superior). changing the luminaries or their distribution without the need of printing data. It is the most intuitive of the three programs and the fastest to use. It allows geometries a little less complex than Dialux, but the construction of the space is extremely fast. The editing of the objects works the same way in all of them: parameters, furniture, luminaries, sensors, etc. You can have at your disposal all the luminaries and lamps without an external Plug-in. This program is by far, the most comfortable and intuitive in the output of data. This program allows the viewing of a summary sheet of calculus with a plant in fake colors of iluminancies, average level data, installed potency, VEEI, etc., so we do not need to print any more data; from the same program we can easily see the data needed to implement changes with celerity. If you should want output of data, it has an easy printing menu. Calculux, is a high precision program in technical, numerical, analytical, technical and financial data, but it has become obsolete. Even Phillips, its manufacturer, recommends the use of Dialux as their first choice and accepts that Calculus Indoor, has stopped creating updates, even though it still offers the download. Nevertheless, it continues to updates the data base of luminaries with new products to keep them available for use with the Calculux program. For exterior and interior lighting and for highway lighting, Dialux and Relux are recommended; for high precision results Autodesk3Ds max is recommended and for lighting of sport areas, CalculuxArea. For all these programs, Phillips Plug-ins are offered.
