22|AULA cd if you want it to take day light into the calculations, the type of sky, etc. We can select the attenuation values (0-100%) of the different control group of luminaries and those that were not in a control group. In Relux you select, at the time of calculations, the type of lighting: artificial, natural, both, emergency lighting, or if you will calculate the diagram stereographically. You can also calculate the type of sky according to CIE. You can turn on or off a specific luminary. The program comes with a complement called “ReluxVivaldi” that makes possible the creation of control groups of luminaries in order to regulate their intensity and create different light scenarios where you can specify the type of natural light, the characteristics of the sky and the time and hour of the year. Calculux offers different forms of light switches, systems for regulating light that allows control of the intensity of the luminaries. It is possible to insert light sensors that automatically regulate the intensity of the luminaries wherever you have natural light. Movement detectors can also be inserted to turn off the luminaries whenever the space is unoccupied. Calculux includes the option of design “Switch-on/switch-off modes” that is a group of luminaires that are in use. In the same space we can have different modes of switching-on/off. For example, in a conference room where there are video presentations, you could create a “conference mode” and a “video presentation mode”, with different number of luminaries turned on or dimmed. The light regulation value is expressed in percentage % in lumens, in the options of the luminary. At the insertion of furniture there are some noteworthy differences. Dialux offers an extensive list of furniture that once inserted in the space can be modified in dimension, materials, and/or color. The modifications can be done by surfaces or automatically “intelligently”, in a way that if you drag a metal or wood texture to a chair, it will apply it only on the legs of the piece, while if the texture is textile, it will apply it exclusively on the seat. In Relux, the selection of objects is somehow wider than in Dialux, but the colors and the materials cannot be modified. However, the proportions of the object can be modified in the three directions of the space. Calculux offers a very limited quantity of objects and their representation is very austere; their goal is to be visible mainly in plant. 2. Lighting Data As to the addition of luminaries, in Dialux you need to download to your computer, Dialux’s Plug-in of the different manufacturers of luminaries, in order to be able to import the luminaries from them. Since Dialux is a program recognized worldwide, almost every brand of luminaries carry the Plug-in. In Dialux’s web page you can find a long list of links. Once installed, you open any one of them and, provided you have the Dialux program opened, when you find the desired luminary, you choose the option “add to project”. Automatically, the chosen luminary will appear in the list of luminaries for the project. All the Plug-ins show a data sheet of the luminary with its dimensions, color, lamp, installation, light distribution, potency and diagram IES, and allows us to search according to different criteria: reference number of the article, area of application (exterior or interior), type of installation, type of lamp, potency of lamp, control system, etc. Relux has a program that comes with a list of 79 luminaries in a Perspectivas de luz artificial en Relux (superior), Dialux (inferior).
