Why is that? I like the idea. We are in very feminine times. I do not know if it is true or not but I believe this are times in which humanity, more than ever, needs to adapt: we travel a lot, times change very rapidly and women have adapted better to face challenges. This is true, is it not? Women have always worked, just at home until some time ago, managing domestic environments, and they have always adapted. You also stated that architecture is an exercise of intense reflection. Can you explain why? It is a reflection of the present situation. On one occasion, I met a woman in northern Europe, in Sweden; she was the wife of an architect. She explained that her husband was not particularly good as an architect, but he always knew how to adapt to the correct situation. This is true. A good architect is the one who responds fully to the requirements of the situation. That is why architecture is an exercise of reflection. You need to be aware of what you have to do. What is the difference between designing a building and a product, Library, there are many skylights and light shines kind of under, creating a different interplay. Your study has projects for many buildings in different places around the world: Barcelona, Hamburg, Shanghai, Naples, London, Katmandu. Is lighting conceived differently depending on the country? Very much so. It is a fact that light changes according to the different countries, the weather, the heat ... Here in Barcelona we did the Natural Gas building with wide open panes of glass. Here, this is possible and to the hilt because we are in a place that is warm but not all the time. Presently we are projecting a building in a city in the south of Taiwan and another one in the south of China and there, the topic of heat and light is totally different. You have to be aware.
