Natural light, fundamental Design and Sustainable Lighting will be among the topics featured on the professionals who will meet in the next edition of the PLDC Conference, held in Copenhagen in late-October and early November, will discuss. Throughout all of history, architects have taken into account the impact that light has on humans, na- tural light being essential part of the architecture to the emergence of artificial light, which happened to be an element less important to the project. In the XXI century, the use of a natural resource that provide illumination to ensure visual comfort to perform the tasks needed to be developed in a building, it is essential to reduce energy demand and curb global warming. The architects of this century have a great responsibility in this regard when designing their buildings. Using light as a structural part, using technology and industry developments, to grade, modular and direct natural light is imperative. As stated by our partner Alberto Barbera in advancing the PLDC Congress published in this edition “LED hopefully not monopolize the debate”. Regardless, all who feel passion for light, and you may have the good fortune to attend this event, surely going to enjoy a lot. To all, good start to the year and end of year. mercedes arroyo Editora / Editor
