The Ministry of environment and Rural and Marine Affairs has convened, through a resolution published in the Official Gazette, subsidies to organizations and associations of breeders for the conservation, improvement and promotion of pure breeds of livestock productionwhose funding is EUR 11 million for the year 2010.
Activities that may be the subject of grant shall be those intended for the education, training and dissemination of scientific knowledge on zootechnical matters, the Organization of livestock competitions, the creation and maintenance of genealogical books, tests for genetic quality and performance of livestock and genetic improvement through investments in testing centres and centres of reproduction.
The beneficiaries of these grants are organizations and associations of breeders of pure livestock breeds in nationally recognized by the Ministry of environment and Rural Environment, and marine and the deadline for submission of applications will be completed on March 1.
