Beatriz Corredor presides over the Spanish XI biennial of architecture and urbanism Awards

Secretary of State of housing and urban actions, Beatriz Corredor, presides over Thursday, 21 July, in the Cantabrian town of Comillas award ceremony of the 11th biennial Spanish architecture and urbanism. The jury has awarded this time Award for architecture, the building of 131 housing protected of the Asturian town of Mieres architects Bernardo Angelini and David Casino, Zigzag architecture, and promoted by Sepes entity state of soil. Prize of urbanism has been for the Plan of Municipal urban management of Montmeló (Barcelona), the architects Jornet, Llop and Pastor; While that housing official protection award has been granted to the 22 housing for young people project promoted by the EMVS of Madrid in the Madrid neighborhood of El Rastro, and that is the work of the architects Monica Alberola, Luis Díaz-Mauriñoy and Consuelo Martorell. For its part, project young prize has been awarded to the Centre of rowing in Alange (Badajoz) of the architect José María Sánchez García. In addition, the jury recognized Prize ex aequo of research of Cloud 9 media-TIC building of Enric Ruiz Geli; and the territorial Plan of housing in Catalonia, directed by Josep Maria Vilanova and Ricard foot.
At the same event will be inaugurated the exhibition of 40 works finalists of the BEAU, who has beaten all previous participation records that proposals to call 734, almost 50% more than in the previous edition.
