More than 34,000 people visit Veteco 2010

The figures for both fairs credited, according to Ifema, the vitality of the industry of the window and the cladding glass and natural stone, two struggling to maintain its competitiveness and sectors that have opted for innovation and research, in search of new areas of business, in order to cope with the slowdown in the construction sector.
The parallel conclusion of these two meetings, Veteco from 4 to 7 May and stone from 5 to 8 may, generated further important synergies for professionals, given the complementarity of the two fairs.
Restoration, rehabilitation of buildings, sustainability and energy efficiency
VETECO closed its tenth Second Edition with an attendance of 34.252 visitors, of which 30.309 have been national. By autonomous communities, residents, with an attendance of over 29 per cent, have been those who have most visited the Salon; followed by the Valencians, Catalans, Andalusians, Estremadura and castellano-leoneses. Similarly, Veteco has attracted visits of; foreign professionals among which resulted significant presence of Portuguese (41%), followed by Brazilians (11.5%) and Italian (10%).
According to surveys conducted by the Organization, as well as the collective common of the fair such as wholesalers, carpenters, manufacturers, installers, locksmiths and glassworks, among others, the Hall also brought together an outstanding representation of professionals in the world of architecture, engineering and decorationthat they formed more than 20% of the total number of visitors.
This year the offer of the Hall, in which have gathered a total of 348 companies (foreign national and 67 281), has been enhanced with content aimed at the market of the restoration and rehabilitation of buildings, developments and solutions geared to sustainability and the improvement of energy efficiencyalong with the Renove plans of Windows, which represent a real boost to the development of the sector.
Parallel activities
VETECO and stone hosted a broad program of activities related to architecture and construction, among which highlighted the great architecture 'Great projects 2010-2011' Forum, which brought together young promises of the architecture and architects.
In addition, for its part, Veteco hosted the Technical Conference on 'energy efficiency and sustainability in the field of the glass enclosure', in which we analysed among others, the results of the 'plans Renove' of Windows, that Veteco also dedicated a specific exhibition area. Similarly, the Hall also hosted a space organized by Aenor to show innovative proposals appropriate to the requirements of the regulations.
A fair award
As usual, Veteco was chosen to deliver the awards Veteco/Asefave, which constitute a recognition of the commitment of the sector with the research, development and innovation. The window award, by the project Indaqua in Senhora da hour (Portugal), was awarded to the architect Pedro Poland, the manufacturer Jofebar and the Panoramah gamista!. The Centre of technification of activities Físico-Deportivas of Guijo de Granadilla (Cáceres) received the award for the front light of the architect José María Sánchez García and the manufacturer Arcelormittal construction Spain. The Innovation Prize has been the Lumeal slide of the Hydro Building Systems - Technal company. Finally, the awards to the best career end projects have gone to Javier Muñoz Galán, Enrique Espinosa Pérez and Rodrigo García González.
