Ensatec incorporates a test bank to evaluate the resistance of elements of rainwater
September 8, 2009
The tests must be conducted through the determination of water-tightness to the water of the elements of wall, or part of them, under varying atmospheric pressure by pulses. These new tests are carried out under the norm UNE-EN 12865: 2001.
This standard specifies a test method for determining the resistance of the elements of the wall to rainwater. The specified test conditions, with differences in atmospheric pressure by pulses, simulate the dynamic nature of rain and pressure of the wind against a wall in a simplified manner. Also, note that the scope is for any type of external wall / exterior facades. On the other hand, the national standards defined areas with different kinds of intensity of water of rain that can be used to determine the necessary protection against the rain water.
