Roller builds new Centre 112 of Camp de Tarragona

The Minister of Interior, Joan Saura, the Secretary of health, Marina Geli, and the Mayor of Reus, Lluís Miquel Pérez, chaired the start of work in Reus 'Centre d' Atenció i Gestió de Trucades d 'urgència 112 catalunya' to build roller. It will be the first emergency management centre where various services, operational bodies and agencies involved in the management of this type of situations and civil defence of the territory of Catalonia, share the same space.
The work of roller will become the new architectural icon of Camp de Tarragona, with some works that will last 15 months and who have an investment of the Generalitat of Catalonia from 20 million euros. The company urban 20,000 square meters, which provided for the construction of a building almost 15,000 square meters with a helipad for about 5,000 square meters and the installation of 4,000 square meters of green area. The installation includes recovery systems of energy and rainwater and gray water, which will enable the building a very important saving of resources and high energy efficiency.
All the bodies of urgencies of Tarragona
This building will be innovative in many respects. On the one hand, it will feature all representative of the region emergency management bodies and will be ready to manage national emergencies. The bodies involved in the management of emergencies will be the operators of 112 calls from first level, the Bombers of the Generalitat and the body of Mossos d'esquadra of Tarragona and the Terres of l'Ebre, technicians of Civil protection, the operators of the ' system d'Emergències medical ', Sem, a base of ambulances and the technicians of the 'Centre de coordination operations of Catalunya' (Cecat).
All involved staff will have their own spaces and common elements: the Tower of telecommunications, costume and rest areas, the elements of security, facilities, parking, and heliport, among others.
The ' Centre d'Emergències 112' of Reus will be an administrative and operational building which would be operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The intention is that the building is a point of reference in sustainable, pedagogical, functional and technological level and an important milestone in the life of the citizens and to the Camp de Tarragona.
According to Ramón Peñaranda, CEO of roller, "the building will be a visual reference of the area, where local singularities refer to industrial elements, such as the petrochemical or the world of leisure, like Port Aventura".

The building that roller has begun to build will have a great accessibility to people with reduced mobility, with accessibility to the parking, toilets and changing rooms, lifts and bedrooms for the rest.
In relation to the environment, the building will not only comply with the rules of the State in the field of eco-efficiency but that also seeks to obtain the environmental certification American Leed. This means, inter alia, encourage the use of public transport or car.
It will be a very respectful of their environment and efficient building with regard to the use of resources. Saving, reusing and recycling in the use of resources such as water, energy or materials have been priority. It will also be respectful with their occupants, remain totally accessible and prioritizing the comfort of workers and visitors.

The 'Centre de gestió d' Emergències 112' of Reus is situated in a strategic location with Visual relationship with the whole of the Camp de Tarragona. The building is located in the town of Reus, 6 km from the urban centre. The location, bordering Tarragona and Constantí, has magnificent connections with major infrastructures of the environment: 1 minute from the T-11, 3 minutes from the AP-7 and 10 minutes from the airport of Reus.
