Aeim Heads to the architects to promote the wooden products

The Spanish Association of the Trade and Industry of the Wood (Aeim) participated in the recently finalised fair SCS (Living room for the Sustainable Construction), celebrated in Madrid (Ifema) of the 7 to 10 May, with the stand: ‘Wood in the efficient construction', in collaboration with Ahec (American Hardwood Export Council) and American Softwoods. The stand was visited by numerous architects that showed very interested in the diverse uses and applications of the wooden products, so much for structural use, as decorative. What puts of self-evident the increasing importance of the wood like material of construction in the era of the architecture and edificación efficient, so much by the provision that offers as by his environingingmental profile.

Besides, with occasion of this fair, Aeim organised, in collaboration with Ahec, the seminar for architects: ‘Innovation and creativity with wood in the architecture of avant-garde' to the that assisted 73 people, between them 59 architects. The day centred in three main subjects:

• The period of the wood: science and sustainability.
• Wood modified: new constructive possibilities.
• New dimensions in the construction with Board Contralaminado (CLT).

During the fair delivered to the assistants the new publication of Aeim: ‘Map of the Wood 2014/14', with the data of contact of all the companies associated, as well as information on the main commercial wood. Likewise this publication contains the fundamental appearances of the European Regulation of the Wood (EUTR) and the implications for all the operators. In this regard, the associated in Aeim already fulfil with the System of Diligence Owed developed by this organisation.
