5 May 2014
The team representative of the Universitat Politènica of Catalonia composed by the students Georgina Beltrán Gracia, Santi Julià Xercavins and Sergi Estruch Traveria, tutelados by the professor Enrique Corbat, has won the first prize of the national phase of the Contest Isover Multi-Comfort House 2014, with his project Learning Among Nature. The second has corresponded to the Upper Technical School of architecture of Valladolid composed by the students Adrián López Varona, Sara López Varona and Javier González González, tutelados by the professor Eusebio Alonso, by his project Fold. And the third, to the University Las Palmas de Gran Canaria represented by Lucía Canine Aguado and Ester Marrero Pérez with the project Lokum, with the professor Manuel Montesdeoca like manager.
The national phase of the contest Isover Multi-Comfort House 2014 gathers to students of architecture of the main Spanish Universities to show his knowledges in constructions of high energetic efficiency and acoustic comfort, as well as defend the projects in which they have worked during the year in front of a cutting composed by the professors of the corresponding schools of architecture and the Coordinator of the Prizes of
The projects presented stood out by the variability and interest of the different solutions applied in the residential units to reach the criteria Multi-Comfort House of Isover required like base of the contest, combined with other fundamental pillars of economic regeneration, energetic production, etc. Once again, the talent of the young architects and the one of his professors impressesed by his innovative ideas.
The winning team of the this national phase will represent to our country in the international final that will celebrate in Bucharest (Romania) of the 28 to 31 May, where will be able to access to some gifted prizes with 1.500 euros for the winner. 1.000 € for the classified second and 750 €, for the third.
Students of the Unversitat Politècnica of Catalonia that have won the Contest Isover Multi-Comfort House.
The International Contest Isover Multi-Comfort House wants to promote the interest of the future architects by the research of solutions energetically efficient, that allow them advance and tackle the implications that for the sector of the construction will have the adoption of the Directive 2010/31 relative to the energetic efficiency of the buildings, under which the States Members will owe to take the necessary measures to guarantee that they establish some minimum requirements of energetic efficiency of such form that all the public buildings built in Europe will owe to be 'nearly zero power buildings' from 31 December 2018 and 31 December 2020 for all the buildings of private titularity.
The projects presented show that the isolation is the most profitable tool to reduce the consumption of power in buildings and like this diminish the broadcast of gases associated to the effect invernadero. The energetic demand used to refrigerate and heat a building can reduce until 90% using technical and systems of isolation sufficiently tested based in the concept of Isover Multi-Comfort that allows to reach the requirements derived of the directive 210/31.
