The city of Madrid received the pasts 23 and 24 October, the I Congress of Intelligent Buildings, that tackled the concept of the intelligent building from an integral and multidisciplinary point of view to accelerate and improve the use of the best solutions and technological systems in the edificación. Like this, in the meeting treated the different areas related with the intelligent buildings: from his architecture and design until his management and maintenance, going through the different models of business that represent or his regulation.
In this frame, Schneider Electric participated in the meeting contributing his experience and knowledge in the field of the management of buildings. Under the title ‘The Energetic Management of an Edifico Intelligent', Javier Orellana, responsible of Energetic Services of Schneider Electric, gave a report in which it analysed the importance of the figure of the energetic agent to attain a greater efficiency in the real estate. Between the missions of this new figure stands out the development of a Plan of Energetic Efficiency, his follow-up and monitoring. Besides, the energetic adviser commissions to analyse the data of power, report the energetic consumption and advise about the actions correctivas pertinent to achieve the aims of energetic efficiency defined. Of this way, further of the green certifications, the energetic labels and the use of the technology, a good energetic management is the manager of the development of green and intelligent buildings of high able performance to offer some sustainable results along all the life of the real estate.
Like reflection of the available tools in the field of the energetic efficiency, Orellana also treated in his intervention the peculiarities of the different systems of management of an intelligent building. In the first place, a BMS (Building Management System) allows to configure and automate a building so that the administrators of installations do a more efficient work and the occupants win in efficiency, comfort and hygiene. Of this way attains simplify the automation of the controls of temperature, of the lighting, of the accesses, or of the circuits of video surveillance of a building according to the guidelines and strategies of energetic efficiency, comfort and/or hygiene established. On the other hand, an EMS (Power Management System) centres in facilitating the acquisition, processed and analysis of different sources of data with the purpose to quantify the energetic parameters as, for example, the distribution of consumptions, the broadcasts of gas of effect invernadero or the energetic costs for, like this, facilitate the taking of decisions to energetic level and technical control.
During two days, Madrid turned into the meeting point of the professionals involved in the development of the intelligent buildings. Like this, engineers, architects and companies of energetic services, among others, gave appointment to spread the knowledge on the thematic related with the management of real estate and improve an edificación energetically more efficient, functional, safe and accessible, reinforcing the integration between the intelligent buildings and the city.
