Adif And Acciona with the utilisation of renewable energies in the Spanish rail networks

Adif And Acciona will promote during the year 2012 the utilisation of energies of renewable origin in high tension for the management and development of the Spanish rail networks. In accordance with the agreement of supply awarded to finals of 2010, Acciona Green Energy, subsidiary of Acciona devoted to the commercialisation of energy, will provide during the next year electricity in high tension of renewable origin with destination to more than 70% of the electrical consumption required by Adif to manage diverse lines of high speed and of Iberian width. It treats of the Lines of High Speed (LAV) Madrid-Barcelona, Madrid-Seville and Madrid-Valladolid; the networks of vicinities of Madrid and Barcelona; the lines of conventional width Madrid-Galicia-Asturias-Basque Country, and Fortress of San Juan-Andalucia, as well as the supply to buildings, stations and other installations of the company.
